Meet DJ Jay Nyce

Elevating EventsFor Over a Decade

Fourteen years, 500+ events, and an eleven-year residency at 230 Fifth Rooftop in New York City. Jay came up in clubs, which is why the mixing sounds different. Work since then includes Bloomingdale's, Gucci, Nordstrom, Sephora, Victoria's Secret and Tito's Handmade Vodka and others. Featured on Fox 5 Good Day New York.

Corporate gala, office party, product launch, private celebration — we take the schedule you or your planner sets and play the room in front of us.

What We Do

We HandleThe Music.

We are the DJ. You or your planner run the event; we take the run of show and play to it. Knowing exactly where our job stops is what makes us easy to work alongside.

🎧

Open-Format Mixing

Club-trained, genre-agnostic, beat-matched. Hip-hop into house into Motown without the record scratching to a halt.

👂

Reading the Room

We watch the floor, not the setlist. If it isn't working we've already changed it — usually before you noticed.

🎚️

The Full Range

Cocktail hour to peak-time club energy, and every level in between. One DJ, the whole dial.

🔊

Our Own Sound

We bring professional sound for private events, set it up, and keep it out of your photos.

🎤

Light Mic Work

Introductions, announcements and the cues that keep a program moving. We are not a host — if you want a full MC, hire one and we will work alongside them.

🗓️

Your Timeline, Not Ours

Speeches, awards, the switch into the dance set — we work to the run of show you or your planner set.

Lighting is available as an add-on, quoted separately. Photo booths, live musicians, staging and full production are not ours — plenty of good people do them, and we are happy to be introduced early.

Residency

230 Fifth Rooftop

Eleven years. Same room.

NYC’s largest rooftop, in the Flatiron. Eleven years of reading a crowd that changes every single night is where the mixing came from — and it’s why a corporate room late in the evening is familiar ground.

How A Night Runs

How The MusicMoves Through An Evening

The same guests want different things as the evening goes on. The sequence below follows whatever program you actually have — not every event includes all of it.

01

Arrival & Cocktails

Barely noticed

Warm, low, conversational. People should be talking, not shouting over us.

02

Formalities

Out of the way

Speeches, awards, presentations. Clean mic, right levels, out of the way.

03

Dinner

Holding the temperature

Familiar without being background noise. Keeping the room warm so the floor is quick to fill later.

04

Peak

Doors off

The club part, if the night calls for one. Open-format, mixed properly, for as long as the floor wants it.

For Planners & Venues

Already have a planner? Good.

A lot of our work comes from planners, venues and agencies who have everything handled except the music. We don't plan, we don't quote your client on anything but the DJ, and we don't take the relationship. We show up, run your timeline, and make you look good.
